Big-eyed Lantern Fish These paintings pair local, Pacific Ocean fish with subtle images of plastic debris, falling dinosaurs, and water that is becoming more acidic thanks to global warming. The plastic bottles and pellets represent both the specific problem of plastic garbage in the ocean and more general habitat degredation from pollution. The paintings are acrylic on canvas. |

Sculpin Inventory of coastal Pacific Ocean fish These small watercolour paintings each depict a different fish that lives in the waters off the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. Many of the fish live in the California - Alaska range. |
Unruffled The images in these little 2" x 2" collages are taken entirely from cut-up postage stamps from around the world. Each collage is framed in an old glass and metal slide mount. |
Stop Fatal Night Crashes The collages in this series are made from re-used and found materials: maps, postage stamps, images and advertising from 1930s Popular Mechanics magazines, pages from old falling apart natural history books, pieces from board games, and other bits that end up in my studio. Each collage is matted and framed. |
Rails to the Portacrylic on paper These small lansdcape paintings are sketches of some of Robi's favorite places along her walking route between home and studio on Vancouver's East side. |
